This is my first DSLR and was recommendation by a friend who has got 40D. I am very happy with the camera body. I like bigger screen with live view and 12mp. Further the made of Camera 450D is better than 1000D, that has plastic feel. Rechargeable battery supplied with the pack is long lasting.
The 18-55mm lense supplied is all purpose and versatile. However, I recommend to buy 17-85mm lens instead of basic 18-55mm lens because 17-85mm has got USM that focuses lot more quicker and can also be used with filters and camera hood. However, this lens upgrade will cost you a fortune.
I have also purchased Sigma 70-300 APO Telephoto lense and 1.8 50MM lens. I really liked 1.8 that is a must to buy!! I mostly use the 17-85mm all purpose lense and planning to upgrade to 24-105mm soon.
Camera 450D is great if your on tight budget or beginner. It delivers value for money. I purchased mine from amazon and was absolutely delighted by service.
Camera 450D – What a camera!
I have recently purchased a Canon 450D Camera Kit from Amazon and I was very very impressed when I got my hands on it. The camera is really comfortable to hold and fairly light with some very usful and highly controlable features.
So far I have only taken a few pictures with this camera and the lens quality is brilliant considering it comes as part of a kit. The pictures come out really sharp with an easily controlable field depth.
I would recommend this camera to anybody who is looking for a good quality, affordable starter kit. 5 Stars!!!
